The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras has launched an urgent call to immediately cover thirty temporary job positions aimed at providing support to the Port Police. The need arises from the current weather situation, and the contracts will have an estimated duration of one month.
The selected individuals will collaborate with the Port Police in various functions: controlling access to the port area and its facilities, supporting road safety and transportation within the Port premises, as well as organizing and developing port activities. They will also be required to manage the assigned material resources and provide support for the proper execution of port activities. The approximate annual gross salary is €21,950, and the job will be carried out in fixed shift arrangements on a full-time basis, with immediate availability.
To apply for these positions, it is necessary to have a Secondary Education certificate (ESO) or a Vocational Training diploma of Intermediate or Higher level, as well as a valid class B driving license. Candidates must also be at least eighteen years old, not have any diseases or limitations incompatible with the performance of duties, and not have been convicted of a criminal offense or separated from public service for disciplinary sanctions.
The selection process will assess candidates' professional experience over the last eight years. Special consideration will be given to those who have worked as Port Police in any Spanish Port Authority, have performed duties in port operations with the port concession companies, or have experience in surveillance and security. The 40 candidates with the highest scores in this phase will proceed to a personal interview to assess competencies such as communication skills, teamwork, management, planning, and negotiation.
Educational merits will also be evaluated, such as having passed tests of the competitive exam for Port Police in previous calls, holding Vocational Training qualifications in related areas (Administration, Commerce, Electricity, Vehicle Maintenance, Computer Science, Security, or Environment), and having language certifications in English or French.
The deadline for submitting applications is three business days, ending on Friday, February 6 at 11:59 PM. Documentation must be submitted electronically via the APBA Electronic Headquarters, in a single PDF file that includes the participation application, the sworn declaration, and all the supporting documentation.
The proposed schedule includes three business days for the evaluation of merits after the application deadline, followed by two business days for conducting interviews. The incorporation of the selected individuals is estimated between February 12 and 15.
