The shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has announced an increase in maritime freight rates from the Arabian Gulf, Pakistan, and India destined for Europe and the Mediterranean Sea, starting from March 1, applicable to all trips that commence navigation from that date.
The company has informed that customers can check the ship schedule through the vessel tracker available on its Online Business Suite platform, which provides updated information about itineraries and stops.
On the other hand, maritime rates for Freight of All Kinds (FAK) between the Far East and Northern Europe, Western Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Eastern Mediterranean will also experience an increase from that date.
The increase will affect cargo transported in 20 and 40-foot Dry and Reefer containers, including High Cube equipment, and will apply to trips that commence from that tariff date.
According to the information provided by Hapag Lloyd, the maritime rate includes the surcharge for marine fuel recovery (Marine Fuel Recovery – MFR) and will be subject to the current tariff conditions and surcharges.
