The National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), an entity dependent on the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, and the Chamber of Commerce of the Campo de Gibraltar celebrated the Demo Day in Algeciras, a day that gathered the finalists of their third and final incubation program. Developed over four months at the digital coworking La Llave, this initiative closes a cycle of support for innovative and cybersecure entrepreneurship in the region.

Discasía, a project led by Tatiana Ramos Giménez; EducAven, from Rocío Montoya Silva; and Vialto Technologies SL, from Ana Díaz Cabello, have emerged as winners of the first, second, and third prizes of the CiberImpulso competition, held as part of the Demo Day. These awards, promoted by the Chamber to encourage the creation of digital and cybersecure companies, are endowed with 2,000, 1,000, and 500 euros, respectively. Additionally, the three initiatives have received a special mention from INCIBE to access its national entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Discasía consists of an interactive story game that allows the reader to experience firsthand the daily barriers faced by people with disabilities (blindness, deafness, or autism) through original game mechanics. The project combines literary narrative with a resource platform for educators and awareness actions.

EducAven is a digital EdTech platform that functions as a specialized search engine for educational and leisure activities. It connects families and educational centers with companies in the sector, allowing them to search, compare, and manage reservations and payments in a centralized manner.

Vialto Technologies SL has developed a SaaS platform for the logistics sector that connects shippers and carriers to optimize routes and reduce empty kilometers. The system offers certifiable sustainability metrics (ESG) and integrated insurance to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Fenoy, who inaugurated the event, valued the impact of collaboration with the National Institute of Cybersecurity: "This collaboration with INCIBE has become a fundamental pillar in building a safer and more robust business ecosystem in the region."

Fenoy has provided a summary of the program's journey in the region: "Today we celebrate the closing of a very important cycle. Looking back, the impact on our entrepreneurial fabric is notable: along with other activities, we have conducted three incubation editions with participation from a total of 45 entrepreneurial projects. Your talent and drive confirm that our region has the capacity to be a reference in digitalization." The president concluded by reaffirming the institution's commitment: "The Chamber will continue to provide you with all its support in this new stage that you are starting."

For her part, Inés García, from the Business Promotion and Business Development department of INCIBE, thanked the participants for their involvement and highlighted the importance of strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of SMEs and professionals to develop the sector's ecosystem in the country. García emphasized that through INCIBE Emprende, the Institute supports Spanish start-ups throughout their process, from idea acquisition to incubation and acceleration, facilitating access to future initiatives within the national entrepreneurial ecosystem for projects like the awarded ones.

The Demo Day featured the participation of ten finalists selected from the fifteen projects that started this third edition. The initiative is aimed at early-stage projects, both in the field of cybersecurity and other sectors, as long as they incorporate a solid approach to data protection as an essential part of their development. During the day, participants presented their proposals concisely before a specialized jury and other attendees at the event.

The incubation program has been designed to provide comprehensive and personalized support to entrepreneurs, with the goal of equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary to take their ideas to a level of maturity that allows them to launch their products or services to the market. The program's methodology included 45 hours of intensive in-person training, 30 hours of mentoring with industry experts, and 30 hours of advice in fiscal, labor, accounting, and legal areas.

INCIBE Emprende was born with the goal of providing a stimulus for entrepreneurship in cybersecurity, strengthening the capabilities of citizens, SMEs, and professionals. During the period 2023-2026, INCIBE supports entrepreneurs and Spanish cybersecurity start-ups throughout the entire entrepreneurial process. The Institute has been promoting entrepreneurship in this field for over seven years, reflected in its Alumni network, a community that includes some of the most relevant cyber start-ups in the national and international landscape.
