Baleària has presented a new challenge at the DataHub, the innovation space specialized in data of Marina de Empresas, in collaboration with Google Cloud. The initiative seeks to develop a solution based on Artificial Intelligence that allows the shipping company to improve the experience and offerings to its customers based on advanced analysis of internal and external data.
The project proposes to use more sophisticated parameters such as market evolution, weather conditions, and complementary information sources. With this, the company aims to identify behavior patterns, optimize its commercial proposal, and adapt its service to the specific needs of different audiences.
Participants will have access to a historical database with records of occupancy, prices, previous promotions, contextual information, and climatic data, which will serve as a starting point for the design of predictive models. The final solution must be developed on Google Cloud, using machine learning techniques and generative Artificial Intelligence with the Vertex AI and BigQuery platforms.
The program will start on October 17 and will feature an intensive weekend on the 24th and 25th, while the final is scheduled for October 31. All activities will be oriented towards fostering teamwork and the creation of applicable proposals in a real business environment.
In the process, the teams will be accompanied by Sngular, a Spanish tech company with international presence, which will offer support in the implementation of advanced methodologies and solutions in data and Artificial Intelligence.
The call is aimed at profiles linked to Marina de Empresas —such as students, professors, startups, and employees— as well as external professionals with experience in data, AI, or technology development. Once selected, participants will be grouped into multidisciplinary teams that will include roles of Project Manager, AI/Data Scientist, Cloud Engineer, and Backend Developer.
For 20 days, teams will have free access to Google Cloud tools and support from subject matter experts. Proposals will be presented before a jury composed of representatives from Baleària, Google, and specialists from the tech sector.
The registration period will remain open until October 10. The initiative will be held entirely at Marina de Empresas, the entrepreneurship and innovation hub promoted by Juan Roig in Valencia.
