The delegate of the Cádiz Free Zone, Fran González, and the director of Navalia, Javier Arnau, have signed a collaboration protocol to work together on talent acquisition and the development of initiatives within the Blue Economy ecosystem promoted by the Cádiz Consortium.
The agreement will allow Galician companies linked to Navalia and firms and startups from the Cádiz Free Zone ecosystem to benefit from this cooperation, sharing space at events and fairs. Thus, the Free Zone will participate for the first time with its own stand at the Navalia fair, held in Vigo in May, while Navalia will be present at the Blue Zone Forum in Cádiz in October. Additionally, the startups from Incubazul-Blue Core will have free spaces to showcase their products and services on both platforms.
The collaboration includes the creation of a mixed commission responsible for identifying and evaluating initiatives with development potential. Joint formulas for participation in national and international forums related to the Blue Economy will also be explored, promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and talent attraction.
Fran González highlighted that this alliance strengthens the cooperation initiated with the Blue Zone Forum-Navalia Meeting held last September, describing the experience as "highly specialized, interesting and productive" and emphasizing the benefits it will bring to the Blue Economy ecosystem of Cádiz. For his part, Javier Arnau stressed that the collaboration allows Navalia to advance its presence in the Blue Economy sector, complementing its DNA of cooperation with entities from other areas of Spain with relevant shipbuilding industry.
Navalia, the most important naval fair in Spain since 2006, consolidates itself as an international meeting point for shipyards and the auxiliary industry. At the same time, the Cádiz Free Zone continues to strengthen its position as a hub for the Blue Economy, consolidating Incubazul-Blue Core as a reference model for the development and growth of startups specialized in maritime and naval innovation.
