Grupo Armas Trasmediterránea has begun preparations for the Operation Crossing of the Strait (OPE) 2026, also known as Marhaba, with a large device aimed at ensuring a comfortable, safe, and efficient transfer between Spain and North Africa during the peak months.
The company expects to make nearly two million seats available to travelers between June 15 and September 15, anticipating an increase in the number of passengers and vehicles compared to the previous year. To this end, it will reinforce both the frequency of trips and the operational capacity on its main routes.

The maritime connections will be made from the ports of Algeciras, Almería, and Motril to key destinations such as Ceuta, Melilla, as well as Morocco and Algeria, consolidating the shipping company as one of the main operators in this international device.
In addition to increasing capacity, the company has focused on improving the onboard experience. Among the measures are customer service in several languages, adapted dining options —including halal food—, prayer areas, and personalized assistance for families and travelers with vehicles.
Ticket sales for the OPE 2026 are now available through agencies, the official website, and authorized points. In this regard, the shipping company reminds the importance of arriving at the port only with a valid ticket for the day of travel, while date changes can be made up to 48 hours before departure, subject to availability.
