Moeve has successfully completed the scheduled shutdown at its San Roque Energy Park, an operation that required an investment of 13 million euros and a work period of 35 days during which more than 390 equipment from the industrial center have been intervened. The action aimed to improve the efficiency of the facilities and maintain the safety levels required by current regulations.
The work has been carried out in a coordinated manner between Moeve's own personnel and around 1,200 professionals from more than 44 auxiliary companies, mostly based in the Campo de Gibraltar, although support was needed from companies in other parts of the national and international territory. The development of the shutdown was conditioned by unforeseen difficulties due to the weather emergency that affected the province of Cádiz during the months of January and February, although, according to the company, compliance with the required safety levels was ensured at all times.
Rosendo Rivero, director of the San Roque Energy Park, has pointed out that with this shutdown the company has made progress in the efficiency of its facilities, "highlighting the sustainability of our operations." Rivero emphasized that prior coordination with auxiliary companies and strict control of daily tasks have been essential to ensure the safety of people, facilities, and the environment.
In addition to regulatory inspections and several projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, significant work has been carried out during the shutdown, such as the renewal of catalysts, the repair of critical equipment, industrial cleaning tasks, and improvements in the productive performance of several units of the center. In total, the intervention has encompassed more than 390 equipment from the San Roque industrial complex.
Moeve periodically conducts scheduled shutdowns at its industrial units where intensive maintenance work and inspections take place that allow the company to ensure safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance of its assets. The volume of mobilized professionals and the investment committed to this shutdown highlight the role of the San Roque Energy Park as one of the main industrial centers in the Campo de Gibraltar and its capacity to generate economic activity in the auxiliary business fabric of the region.
