The Spanish energy company Moeve has been recognized for the third consecutive year as a European leader in its sector in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) ranking prepared by S&P Global. In addition, the company ranks third globally, consolidating its international positioning in sustainability.
Moeve has obtained a score of 76 out of 100, particularly excelling in climate management, supply chain, risk and crisis management, business ethics, and tax strategy. These results strengthen the company’s roadmap to 2030, called Positive Motion, with which it aims to become a European benchmark in energy transition through the promotion of green molecules, sustainable mobility, and sustainable chemistry.
The evaluation also assessed the company's transparency, reflected in its Integrated Management Report (IGI), where it annually details the performance of its environmental, social, and governance objectives. Among the most relevant milestones are the promotion of a circular economy and responsible water management, an area in which it has already surpassed its initial goal by reducing freshwater intake in water-stressed areas by 21% compared to 2019. Looking ahead to 2028, the goal is to achieve a 25% reduction globally.
Carmen de Pablo, CFO and Director of Strategy and Sustainability at Moeve, emphasized that this recognition confirms the company's commitment to energy transition. "We still have a long way to go, but these evaluations give us more energy to continue advancing rigorously, improve our competitiveness, and support our clients in their decarbonization," she stated.
Beyond the CSA, Moeve maintains leadership in its sector in the ESG ranking by Clarity AI for the fourth consecutive year. Additionally, it has been recognized with the highest rating (A-) in its sector in CDP evaluations both in Climate and in Water, attesting to its strategy in climate and water resource management.
For its part, both Moeve and its division Moeve Chemicals hold the Platinum Medal from EcoVadis, ranking within the top 1% of more than 50,000 entities rated highest globally for sustainability. Furthermore, Moeve Chemicals has recently received the National Industry Award for Environmental, Social, and Governance Impact for its Track and Trace project.
In the talent sphere, the energy company has also exceeded its commitment that at least 30% of leadership positions are occupied by women and has set a goal to reach 40% by 2030, thus reinforcing the social dimension of its corporate strategy.
