The Zona Base-Incubazul building, in Cádiz, has hosted the first edition of Blue Exterior EXPO, a day organized within the framework of Blue Core aimed at recreating the operation of a professional international fair and fostering connections between companies, innovative projects, institutions, and entities linked to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Blue Economy. The meeting, held on Wednesday afternoon, brought together more than 60 attendees and featured the participation of 11 companies, which were able to present their initiatives to professionals related to innovation, sustainability, business internationalization, and economic activities tied to the marine environment.

The day allowed to showcase the new ecosystem being developed by Incubazul-Blue Core, as well as the projects integrated into the various accelerators currently underway. The activity was designed as a professional networking space where participating companies had the opportunity to present their value propositions, interact with potential collaborators, and establish contacts with attending entities and professionals.

During the development of Blue Exterior EXPO, companies had specific spaces to present their projects through business pitches. These interventions allowed the attending public to understand the level of development of each initiative, their market objectives, and their potential applications in areas related to marine biotechnology, environmental sustainability, engineering, marine-related food, and internationalization.

The participating companies in this first edition were Atridel, EONSEA, Flavoom, Pigmenta Algae, Salaria, Productos La Salá, Salinnova, A Toda Vela, The Talent Sea, Escaramujo Wines, and Consultora Trafalgar. All of them were part of a dynamic designed to replicate the context of an international professional fair, with tours through the various spaces set up in the building and direct meetings with specialized visitors.

The delegate of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, closed the meeting and congratulated the participating companies for the atmosphere generated during the day. González highlighted the value of these types of activities for the entrepreneurial ecosystem linked to the Blue Economy, by placing startups in real presentation, professional relationship, and opportunity-seeking scenarios.

In his speech, the delegate of the Free Trade Zone indicated that these initiatives 'generate very valuable real situations for startups' in their business development process. He also encouraged the participating projects to take part in the fourth edition of Blue Zone Forum-Innovazul, which will be held in October in Cádiz and aims to be a reference space to give visibility to the Blue Economy ecosystem and the startups integrated into this field.

Blue Exterior EXPO also served to showcase the facilities and capabilities of the Zona Base-Incubazul building as a meeting point for entrepreneurship, innovation, and business collaboration. The building is configured as a space intended to host projects, activities, and programs related to the Blue Economy, with special attention to the creation of new companies and the support of technological and sustainable initiatives.

The day allowed to implement dynamics typical of a professional fair, where companies could attend to visitors, explain their projects, generate contacts, and explore possible collaboration lines. This format facilitated that participating startups faced typical situations in business promotion environments, with a practical orientation aimed at improving their presentation capacity and relationship with the market.

The celebration of this first edition of Blue Exterior EXPO is part of the activity of Blue Core, a project funded 85% by the European Regional Development Fund, FEDER, within the Multi-Regional Operational Program of Spain 2021-2027. The initiative is part of priority P1A of the Viveros 4.0 High Technology Incubators Program, aimed at fostering a digital and intelligent transition.

With this day, the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz continues to develop lines of work aimed at generating collaboration spaces among emerging companies, public entities, professionals, and innovative projects related to the marine environment. The activity is integrated into a strategy aimed at positioning Cádiz as a reference environment for the creation of companies, the transfer of knowledge, and the development of solutions applied to the Blue Economy.
